Korean Top Team
Founded in 2003, Korean Top Team (KTT) is one of South Korea’s most influential mixed martial arts academies and a cornerstone of the country’s modern MMA development. Headquartered in Daerim, Seoul, Korean Top Team has built a reputation for producing elite professional fighters while also providing high-quality instruction to amateur competitors, hobbyists, and beginners.
Located in Youngdeungpo-gu, Daerim 2-dong, Tower Officetel B1, the academy serves as the flagship location of a growing network of affiliated gyms throughout South Korea. In addition to its Seoul headquarters, Korean Top Team operates affiliated branches in Gimpo, Osan, Mokdong, and Ansan, allowing the organization’s coaching philosophy and training system to reach athletes across multiple regions.
The academy offers comprehensive instruction in mixed martial arts, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, boxing, Muay Thai, and conditioning. Whether students are preparing for professional competition or simply pursuing fitness and self-defense, Korean Top Team emphasizes technical development, discipline, and continuous improvement.
Over the past two decades, Korean Top Team has become one of the country’s premier destinations for professional fighters. Numerous athletes representing organizations including the UFC, ROAD FC, ONE Championship, RIZIN, DEEP, and Black Combat have trained within the KTT system. The gym’s reputation for producing technically complete mixed martial artists has made it one of the most respected names in Korean combat sports.
Beyond producing champions, Korean Top Team has cultivated a culture centered on teamwork, humility, and long-term athlete development. The academy continues to welcome students of every experience level while maintaining one of the strongest professional training environments in South Korea.

His influence extends well beyond the academy itself, helping shape the technical standards of Korean MMA during its modern era of growth.
Together, Hyung Jin Kwon and Dong Jin Ha have established Korean Top Team as one of the nation’s premier training centers, combining experienced leadership with a proven system for developing athletes at every level.
Team History
Korean Top Team was established in 2003 by Dong Jin Ha during a transformative period for South Korean mixed martial arts. At a time when organized MMA gyms were still relatively uncommon, the academy sought to create a professional training environment that combined the country’s traditional martial arts culture with the rapidly evolving techniques of modern mixed martial arts.
Throughout the 2000s, Korean Top Team quickly earned recognition for producing technically disciplined fighters capable of competing against elite opposition throughout Asia. As organizations such as Spirit MC, DEEP, ROAD FC, and later the UFC created greater opportunities for Korean athletes, Korean Top Team emerged as one of the country’s leading developmental programs.
The gym became home to many of Korea’s most recognizable mixed martial artists, including UFC veterans and champions who trained within the KTT system before competing on the international stage. Its reputation for producing fundamentally sound athletes helped establish Korean Top Team as one of the foundational institutions in Korean MMA.
As the academy’s influence expanded, Korean Top Team developed affiliated branches across South Korea, including locations in Gimpo, Osan, Mokdong, and Ansan. These satellite gyms extended the organization’s coaching philosophy while helping grow mixed martial arts participation throughout the country.
More than twenty years after opening its doors, Korean Top Team remains one of the most respected academies in Korean combat sports. Its legacy is measured not only through championships and professional victories but also through its lasting contribution to the growth of MMA in South Korea. By consistently producing elite athletes while welcoming beginners and recreational practitioners, Korean Top Team continues to play a central role in shaping the next generation of Korean martial artists.
