Overview

Chi Woo Park (박치우), nicknamed “The Punisher,” is a South Korean bantamweight representing PBOY MMA.

Standing approximately 5-foot-10 (178 cm), Park has quietly put together an undefeated 4–0 professional MMA record with one no contest, earning three victories by unanimous decision and one by submission. Rather than building his record exclusively in one organization, Park has competed across several Asian promotions, including Double G FC, UGB, Black Combat, AFC/HEAT and Zeus FC. His résumé remains relatively small, but the progression is noteworthy: since his 2021 professional debut ended in a no contest, Park has won four consecutive MMA fights and has yet to officially lose as a professional mixed martial artist.

Early Life & Background

Publicly available biographical information about Chi Woo Park’s childhood and introduction to martial arts is currently limited. I wouldn’t fill this section with assumptions about a wrestling, judo, kickboxing or BJJ background unless we can find a Korean-language interview where Park discusses it himself.

What we can establish is that Park is part of PBOY MMA, a Korean team that has produced and housed several professional fighters across the lighter divisions.

Chi Woo Park’s professional MMA career began at Double G FC 9 on September 3, 2021, when he faced Sang Hyun Park. The fight ultimately went into the record books as a no contest.

There was then a significant gap.

Park did not record another professional MMA appearance until August 2023, meaning his career really began gaining momentum nearly two years after his initial debut.

Since returning, however, he hasn’t lost an MMA fight.

Fighting Style

Patient, controlled and increasingly well-rounded

Chi Woo Park’s record points toward a fighter who is comfortable winning fights through control, consistency and round-by-round effectiveness rather than depending on knockout power.

Three of his four professional victories have gone the distance.

He defeated Janedie Bernardo, Tatsuro Fukui and Young Hoon Choi by unanimous decision, meaning Park didn’t merely scrape through those fights on split scorecards—he convinced the judges across all three.

That’s an important distinction with a young 4–0 fighter.

Park has already demonstrated an ability to maintain his effectiveness through three-round professional fights.

But he’s not exclusively a decision fighter.

His most impressive finish came against Jong Jun Park at Black Combat’s Champions League on June 15, 2024.

Chi Woo Park secured the back and finished the fight with a rear-naked choke just 1:12 into the opening round.

That performance showed another dimension to his game.

The Jong Jun Park win looks much better now

This is probably the result I would highlight when evaluating Chi Woo Park.

Jong Jun Park didn’t collapse after losing to him.

He did the opposite.

After Chi Woo Park submitted him, Jong Jun Park went on to win four consecutive fights, including victories in Black Combat, Shooto and BLOOM before stopping Junpei Nagatome by first-round TKO at ONE Friday Fights 153 in May 2026.

That retrospectively gives Chi Woo Park’s submission considerably more weight.

He didn’t submit an opponent who disappeared from the regional scene afterward.

He submitted a fighter who subsequently proved himself to be a legitimate Asian bantamweight prospect.

Professional Career

Chi Woo Park’s first professional MMA appearance came against Sang Hyun Park at Double G FC 9 on September 3, 2021.

The bout ended in a no contest, leaving Park without an official win or loss.

Nearly two years later, Park returned.

First professional victory

On August 5, 2023, Park traveled outside Korea to compete at UGB 42: Fury in the South, facing Janedie Bernardo.

Park earned a unanimous decision after three rounds, officially securing the first victory of his professional career.

It was the beginning of his current unbeaten run.

Black Combat breakthrough

Park returned to Korea for perhaps the most important performance of his career.

At the Black Combat Champions League on June 15, 2024, “The Punisher” faced Jong Jun Park, better known as “TNT.”

Park needed only 72 seconds.

He submitted TNT with a rear-naked choke at 1:12 of Round 1, improving his professional record to 2–0 with one no contest.

It remains Park’s only professional MMA finish—but also his most significant victory.

AFC × HEAT

Four months later, Park faced Japanese fighter Tatsuro Fukui at the AFC 34 × HEAT 55 crossover event on October 26, 2024.

This time there was no quick submission.

Park went the full three rounds and secured another unanimous decision.

That moved him to 3–0.

Zeus FC 9

Chi Woo Park’s next appearance came against Young Hoon Choi at Zeus FC 9: Evolution on March 29, 2025.

Once again, Park controlled enough of the contest to earn a unanimous decision after three rounds.

The victory pushed his professional MMA record to 4–0 with one no contest.

As of the records currently available, that remains his most recent professional MMA bout.

Kickboxing Appearance

There is one important addition when discussing Park’s overall combat-sports activity.

Although he remains undefeated in professional MMA, Park did compete in professional kickboxing in 2026.

Park faced Tae Hyun Park at DAFC 001 on March 28, 2026, competing at 132 pounds.

He lost by second-round TKO after being stopped by a right straight to the body at the 1:00 mark.

That result does not affect his MMA record, so Park remains 4–0 with one no contest as a professional mixed martial artist.

It’s nevertheless useful context.

His willingness to take a professional kickboxing fight suggests Park is actively testing himself outside MMA, although the result also provides some reason to be cautious about evaluating his pure striking against higher-level specialists.

Career Highlights

Chi Woo Park’s career is still developing, so there aren’t championship accomplishments to point toward yet. His highlights instead come from maintaining his unbeaten MMA record while gradually increasing the quality and variety of his opposition.

The biggest ones are his 4–0 professional MMA record, three unanimous-decision victories, and his first-round rear-naked choke of Jong Jun Park at Black Combat.

The latter is increasingly the centerpiece of his résumé. Jong Jun Park subsequently rebounded with four consecutive victories and reached ONE Friday Fights, making Chi Woo Park the only fighter to defeat him professionally through his first five recorded fights.

Park has also accumulated experience across several promotions and markets—Double G FC, UGB, Black Combat, AFC/HEAT and Zeus FC—rather than padding his record within a single local promotion.

06

Summary & Trajectory

Chi Woo Park’s career is at an interesting point.

At 4–0 with one no contest, there’s not enough evidence yet to call him one of Korea’s elite bantamweights. Four victories is simply too small a sample, and three have come by decision.

But there is enough evidence to start paying attention.

His trajectory has been remarkably clean since returning in 2023:

Janedie Bernardo — Win, Unanimous Decision

Jong Jun Park — Win, R1 Submission

Tatsuro Fukui — Win, Unanimous Decision

Young Hoon Choi — Win, Unanimous Decision

That shows a fighter capable of winning in different environments and against different styles.

The next stage is much more important.

At 4–0, Park doesn’t need another developmental opponent nearly as much as he needs a fight that tells us where his ceiling actually sits within the Korean and broader Asian bantamweight landscape.

A step up in opposition would answer far more questions than another routine victory.

HANPUNCH ASSESSMENT

Chi Woo Park is a fighter whose résumé deserves more attention than his name currently receives.

He's not a knockout artist. In fact, Park has yet to record a KO/TKO victory in professional MMA. Three of his four victories have come by decision, producing a relatively modest 25% finishing rate.

But that's not necessarily a negative at this stage.

Park has already demonstrated something many inexperienced prospects haven't: he can consistently win 15-minute fights.

Three unanimous decisions suggest a fighter capable of maintaining his approach across rounds rather than depending on a single explosive moment.

Then there's the exception—the Jong Jun Park fight.

Finishing TNT in 1:12 has become more impressive with time. Jong Jun Park's subsequent success in Shooto and ONE means that result can no longer be dismissed as simply another early-career regional win.

For HanPunch, that makes Park a prospect worth monitoring rather than a proven contender.

There are still unanswered questions. We haven't seen him against Korea's upper-tier bantamweights. We don't yet know how his game responds when an opponent can consistently deny his grappling, pressure him defensively or force him into uncomfortable exchanges. And the 2026 kickboxing loss shows there's still development to be done if Park wants to become a truly dangerous striker.

But his MMA résumé currently contains something that can't be argued with:

Nobody has beaten him.

And at 4–0, the next two or three opponents could completely change the way Chi Woo Park is viewed.
