If there’s one thing MMA fans love almost as much as watching fights, it’s pretending they already know who’s going to win.
The crew from Zeus FC was no different.
During a recent visit to a Black Combat event, the Zeus FC CEO Si Young Park and Ring Announcer who goes by the nickname “Apollon”, spent nearly the entire night doing what every fight fan does before the opening bell, debating matchups, arguing over styles, and making bold predictions with absolute confidence.
As it turns out, Black Combat had other plans.
Every Fight Started With a Debate
Long before the first fighter walked to the cage, the conversation was already in full swing.
Could Son Ho Chan overcome Jelme?
Would Hyper’s strength be enough against Tigro?
Did Jigsaw have what it took to pull off the upset?
Every matchup sparked another argument, with each host convinced they had the better read on the fight.
Sometimes the discussions sounded like serious analysis.
Other times they sounded like three friends trying to win an argument over dinner.
Either way, nobody was lacking confidence.
Black Combat Had Other Ideas
As the event unfolded, those predictions started falling apart.
Favorites stumbled.
Momentum shifted.
The fights refused to follow the script everyone had written beforehand.
Instead of doubling down on their takes, the Zeus FC crew did something fans can appreciate, they laughed at themselves.
With every unexpected result, the confidence disappeared a little more, replaced by jokes about who should probably stop making predictions altogether.
The “Apollon Curse” Was Born
One of the night’s funniest running jokes centered around Apollon (Zeus FC’s ring announcer).
After several of his picks failed to pan out, the group jokingly blamed him for bringing bad luck to anyone he supported.
The joke snowballed throughout the event.
Every time Apollon backed another fighter, someone immediately questioned whether that was actually good news.
By the end of the night, the so-called “Apollon Curse” had become one of the vlog’s biggest laughs.
It was the kind of inside joke that every group of MMA friends eventually creates after watching enough fights together.
Promoters Who Were Just Happy to Be There
What made the vlog entertaining wasn’t just the fight talk.
It was how quickly the Zeus FC team stopped acting like promoters and started acting like fans.
They joked about each other’s outfits.
They teased one another over hairstyles.
They took photos with fans.
They wandered around the venue taking everything in.
At one point, the conversation somehow turned into a surprisingly passionate debate over soccer jerseys and whether they qualify as fashion.
It had absolutely nothing to do with MMA.
It was also hilarious.
The entire experience felt less like a business trip and more like a group of friends enjoying a Saturday night of fights.
Respect Earned
As much as the vlog focused on jokes and predictions, there was also genuine admiration for what Black Combat has built.
The Zeus FC crew repeatedly praised the event atmosphere, production quality, and overall presentation, admitting they came away impressed by the experience.
One host summed it up simply.
“Every time we come to Black Combat, we learn something.”
The group also joked about Black Combat filling roughly 5,000 seats, with Zeus FC setting a more modest goal of eventually reaching 2,500 to 3,000 spectators at its own events.
Rather than speaking like competitors, they sounded like promoters studying a successful blueprint.
And maybe that’s the most refreshing part of the whole video.
Instead of pretending they had all the answers, Zeus FC spent the night enjoying the fights, poking fun at themselves, and giving credit where it was due.
The predictions may not have survived the night, but the laughs certainly did.
