Gym ACE MMA & Jiu Jitsu World is a full-service mixed martial arts academy based in Masan, South Korea.
Under the leadership of former UFC welterweight Hyun Gyu Lim, the gym has developed into one of the region’s leading combat sports training centers, offering comprehensive instruction in mixed martial arts, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, and youth martial arts programs.
Designed to serve both competitive athletes and recreational practitioners, Gym ACE MMA emphasizes technical development, physical fitness, and personal growth. The academy welcomes elementary school students, teenagers, and adults regardless of previous experience, creating an environment where beginners can comfortably learn alongside experienced competitors.
Operating across dedicated third and fourth floor training facilities, Gym ACE MMA features spacious mat areas, fully equipped free-weight training equipment, men’s and women’s locker rooms with showers, and the flexibility for members to participate in multiple classes each week. Students have access to a structured curriculum covering both MMA and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, allowing practitioners to build a well-rounded martial arts foundation.
In addition to adult classes, Gym ACE MMA places significant emphasis on youth development. Separate children’s boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu programs focus on confidence building, physical fitness, concentration, self-defense, discipline, and bullying prevention. The academy also maintains an on-site female instructor for its children’s program, providing additional support for younger students and families.

Coaching Staff
Gym ACE is owned and operated by Hyun Gyu Lim, one of South Korea’s most accomplished mixed martial artists. A veteran of the UFC, Lim competed against several internationally recognized welterweights during his professional career and earned a reputation for his aggressive striking style and exciting performances.
Drawing from years of experience competing at the sport’s highest level, Lim has built Gym ACE around modern mixed martial arts principles. His coaching philosophy emphasizes technical precision, continuous improvement, and developing complete martial artists rather than specialists in a single discipline.
Under Lim’s leadership, students receive instruction across every aspect of MMA, including striking, wrestling integration, grappling, and fight strategy. Recreational members benefit from structured fitness-focused classes, while aspiring competitors receive the technical preparation necessary to compete at amateur and professional levels.
The academy also supports a dedicated youth coaching program, including an on-site female instructor who oversees children’s classes and helps create a safe, encouraging learning environment for younger athletes.
Team History
Gym ACE MMA was established with the goal of bringing high-level mixed martial arts instruction to Masan while making combat sports accessible to the broader community.
