Yoon Young Kim is a veteran South Korean welterweight who competed during the formative years of Korean mixed martial arts.

Representing Busan Team MAD, Yoon Young Kim built a reputation as a submission specialist with a versatile ground game, earning the nickname “Snake Eater.” During his professional career he competed against many of the top Korean and Japanese fighters of his era while establishing himself as one of the country’s respected regional veterans.

Little public information is available regarding Yoon Young Kim’s early life before entering mixed martial arts. He developed his skills at Busan Team MAD, one of South Korea’s most respected MMA gyms, during a period when Korean MMA was rapidly expanding internationally. His grappling-heavy style reflected the technical emphasis of Team MAD during the mid-2000s.

Yoon Young Kim’s greatest strength was his submission grappling.
