While Mongolia is expected to rely on physicality, relentless pressure, and durability, Team Omega hopes to counter with technical striking, footwork, and grappling.
During a recent interview with Aiden MMA House, Black Combat fighter Young Soo Ko shared his thoughts on the team competition and several featured bouts on the main card. Although the discussion included plenty of friendly disagreements over individual fight predictions, both speakers agreed on one thing: Team Omega has the technical tools to defeat Mongolia if its fighters stick to disciplined game plans.
Young Soo Ko Believes Technique Gives Team Omega the Edge
Throughout the interview, Young Soo Ko described the Mongolian fighters as physically imposing athletes who constantly move forward and force opponents into uncomfortable exchanges.
Rather than matching that aggression head-on, Ko believes Team Omega’s advantage lies in its ability to create angles, mix striking with wrestling, and capitalize on technical openings.
He explained that many of Mongolia’s fighters prefer straightforward pressure, while Korean fighters generally possess more complete footwork and a wider variety of offensive options.
According to Ko, Team Omega does not need to overpower Mongolia. Instead, it needs to make the Mongolian fighters pay whenever they overcommit.
Ho Chan Son Faces One of Team Omega’s Toughest Matchups
One of the most discussed fights during the interview featured Yoo Chan Son against Mongolia’s Gelme.
Young Soo Ko revealed that Yoo Chan Son has recently spent time training alongside Eoh Jin Park, focusing on improving his grappling. Ko praised Yoo Chan Son’s development on the mat, saying he possesses legitimate submission skills and has surprised experienced training partners with his sweeps and positional awareness.
Even so, Gelme was viewed as one of Mongolia’s most dangerous competitors.
The Mongolian fighter was described as an aggressive pressure fighter capable of blending heavy boxing with wrestling entries, making him a difficult stylistic matchup for anyone on the Korean roster.
Ko believes Yoo Chan Son’s best opportunity will come from forcing Gelme to overextend before responding with counters or takedowns rather than standing directly in front of him.
When making his prediction, Young Soo Ko gave Yoo Chan Son roughly a 60-40 advantage, while the other speaker during the Aiden MMA House interview viewed the Korean fighter as an even stronger favorite.
Eoh Jin Park Receives the Strongest Praise
If there was one Team Omega fighter who earned overwhelming confidence during the discussion, it was Eoh Jin Park, better known to many fans as “Young Boss.”
Young Soo Ko praised Eoh Jin Park’s movement, distance management, and composure under pressure, describing him as one of the most technically polished young fighters currently training with Team Omega.
His opponent, known as Chillown, was credited for more than simply throwing combinations. According to the interview, the Mongolian fighter mixes forward pressure with kicks and dangerous front-headlock submissions, including guillotines and anacondas.
Despite those weapons, both speakers believed Eoh Jin Park’s footwork would allow him to dictate where the fight takes place.
Ko expects Eoh Jin Park to create openings by forcing his opponent to chase before attacking with combinations or mixing in grappling.
Young Soo Ko estimated the matchup at approximately 80-20 in EohJin Park’s favor, while the Aiden MMA House discussion included an even more confident prediction.
The only concerns mentioned involved potential ring rust and the occasional danger posed by explosive opponents who suddenly rush forward.
Which Team Omega Fighters Face the Most Difficult Tests?
Although Team Omega was favored throughout the interview, Young Soo Ko acknowledged that several Korean fighters still face dangerous matchups.
One concern centered around Dong Baek or Tae Ho Jin.
Ko noted that Dong Baek appeared somewhat hesitant during a recent performance and wondered whether previous setbacks may have affected his confidence. He emphasized that he remains a supporter of Dong Baek but believes this upcoming fight represents an important opportunity to bounce back.
Another closely watched contest features Se Yoon Jung.
His opponent, Mukali, was described as a naturally powerful heavyweight capable of ending fights early with his striking.
Rather than engaging in a prolonged stand-up battle, both speakers felt Se Yoon Jung should rely on wrestling, clinch work, and takedowns to gradually wear Mukali down over the course of the fight.
Both ultimately viewed the matchup as one of the closest on the entire card.
Team Omega Expected to Defeat Mongolia
When discussing the overall team competition, Young Soo Ko remained cautiously optimistic.
He predicted Team Omega could realistically win by scores such as 4-3 or 5-2 depending on how several close matchups unfold.
The other speaker was even more confident, suggesting Team Omega could produce a dominant 6-1 victory.
Despite their different score predictions, both agreed Korea should emerge victorious.
Their reasoning was simple: Team Omega appears to possess more complete technical skill sets across striking, grappling, and movement, while Mongolia’s greatest strengths come from physical pressure and toughness.
Jigsaw vs. Garuda Divides the Panel
The conversation became much more divided once attention shifted toward the main card.
Young Soo Ko favored Garuda, citing his athleticism, undefeated professional record, and impressive amateur accomplishments. Ko also mentioned Garuda’s previous training footage and believed the Mongolian fighter could secure a finish in the second round.
The opposing prediction favored Jigsaw.
That opinion was based largely on Jigsaw’s veteran experience and ability to make adjustments throughout a fight. While Garuda may possess superior athleticism, Jigsaw’s composure and technical understanding could allow him to slowly take control.
It became one of the biggest disagreements during the interview.
Young Soo Ko Sides with Boss Baby Against Myung Hwan Kim
The heavyweight matchup between Myung Hwan Kim, known as “Mammoth,” and Boss Baby also produced different opinions.
Young Soo Ko selected Boss Baby to win.
Although he praised Myung Hwan Kim’s dirty boxing, cage wrestling, and overall grappling, Ko questioned whether Mammoth could consistently match Boss Baby during prolonged striking exchanges.
Boss Baby’s knockout power and Dana White’s Contender Series experience were major reasons behind Ko’s prediction.
The opposing view favored Myung Hwan Kim.
Rather than focusing on striking power, that argument centered on Mammoth’s ability to control fights through offensive wrestling, cage pressure, conditioning, and positional dominance.
Even with different predictions, both speakers agreed that wrestling and cage control may ultimately prove more important than raw punching power.
Black Combat Omega Korea Promises a Fascinating Style Matchup
The discussion on Aiden MMA House presented Black Combat Omega Korea as much more than a traditional international team event.
Instead, it highlighted two very different approaches to mixed martial arts.
Mongolia is expected to rely on strength, toughness, and relentless forward pressure.
