PROMOTION OVERVIEW

DOMVS

DOMVS is a South Korean mixed martial arts promotion that debuted in late 2025 and has quickly emerged as one of the country’s newest developmental organizations. Headquartered in Seoul, the promotion distinguishes itself through its compact, high-frequency event schedule and its willingness to feature multiple combat sports—including professional MMA, cage boxing, and striking contests—under a single banner. Although still in its early stages, the promotion has rapidly built a growing roster of Korean prospects while also attracting international competitors from Central Asia, Russia, Mongolia, and neighboring Asian countries.

Unlike many established Korean promotions that hold only a handful of events each year, the promotion has adopted an intensive schedule built around its dedicated DOMVS Arena in Seoul. Since launching with DOMVS 1 on December 31, 2025, the promotion has staged numerous numbered events in quick succession, providing regular competition opportunities for developing fighters.

Promotion History

2025: Launch of a New Promotion

DOMVS officially launched with DOMVS 1 on December 31, 2025, at DOMVS Arena in Seoul. The inaugural event featured both professional MMA and cage boxing, establishing the organization’s multi-discipline identity from its very first show. Heavyweight boxer Hyun Man Myung headlined the event, while several rising Korean MMA prospects made their professional debuts.

The promotion’s name, DOMVS (derived from the Latin word domus, meaning “home” or “house”), reflects its branding around building a home for developing fighters and creating a consistent venue for combat sports in South Korea.

2026: Rapid Expansion

Rather than spacing events months apart, the promotion adopted an aggressive calendar throughout 2026. Between January and July, the promotion held more than a dozen numbered events, almost all at its dedicated Seoul venue. This consistent schedule has allowed fighters to remain active while helping establish the promotion as one of Korea’s busiest regional promotions.

The promotion has also broadened its talent pool by inviting competitors from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Mongolia, and Japan, creating regular Korea-versus-international matchups alongside domestic contests.

03

Rules and Format

DOMVS primarily follows the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts, using the standard cage format familiar to athletes competing internationally.

Professional MMA

Professional MMA contests generally feature:

  • Three five-minute rounds for featured bouts
  • Standard Unified Rules judging
  • Professional weight classes
  • Championship-style main events

Early developmental contests have occasionally been contested over two five-minute rounds, reflecting the promotion’s emphasis on prospect development while later featured bouts have expanded to the traditional three-round format.

Cage Boxing

One of the promotion’s defining characteristics is its inclusion of boxing inside an MMA cage.

These contests follow boxing rules while utilizing the enclosed cage rather than a traditional boxing ring. Cage boxing has appeared regularly on its cards, giving striking specialists an additional competitive platform alongside MMA athletes.

Multi-Discipline Events

Many DOMVS cards feature a combination of:

  • Professional MMA
  • Cage boxing
  • Special attraction bouts

This mixed-format approach creates a broader combat sports experience than promotions focused exclusively on MMA.

04

Broadcast History

From its launch, the promotion has embraced a digital-first broadcasting strategy.

YouTube

The promotion maintains an active official YouTube channel featuring:

  • Full fight cards
  • Fight highlights
  • Promotional trailers
  • Fighter interviews
  • Behind-the-scenes content
  • Event announcements

This approach has allowed DOMVS to reach audiences beyond South Korea despite being a relatively new organization.

Social Media

The promotion has built much of its audience through Instagram and Facebook, where it regularly publishes:

  • Fight announcements
  • Athlete profiles
  • Training footage
  • Weigh-in coverage
  • Event photography
  • Promotional videos

The promotion’s strong social media presence has been central to its rapid early growth and engagement with younger MMA fans.

05

Notable Milestones

Founded in 2025

The promotion became one of South Korea’s newest professional MMA organizations, launching with a clear focus on providing consistent opportunities for emerging athletes.

Dedicated DOMVS Arena

Unlike many regional promotions that rotate between venues, the promotion established DOMVS Arena in Seoul as its primary home, creating a consistent event environment and recognizable identity for fighters and fans.

High-Frequency Event Schedule

Within its first year, DOMVS staged more than a dozen numbered events—an unusually active schedule for a newly established Korean promotion. This rapid pace has provided valuable ring time for developing professionals and accelerated the promotion’s growth.

International Matchmaking

Although centered on Korean talent, the promotion has consistently welcomed fighters from across Asia and Eastern Europe. Competitors from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Mongolia, and Japan have appeared on its cards, giving Korean prospects regular international experience early in their careers.

Multi-Discipline Combat Sports

By combining professional MMA with cage boxing on the same event cards, the promotion has developed a distinctive identity within the Korean combat sports landscape. This format allows athletes from different striking and grappling backgrounds to compete under one promotional banner while offering fans a varied viewing experience.
