Hyun Woo Kim captured the interim bantamweight championship as 11 of the Road FC 078’s 18 fights ended inside the distance at Jangchung Arena in Seoul.
Hyun Woo Kim left Seoul with interim gold after stopping Ji Yong Yang in the main event of Goobne ROAD FC 078.
The event took place on August 29, 2026, at Jangchung Arena and featured 18 fights divided across two parts. Eleven bouts ended inside the distance, including Kim’s championship-winning performance.
Hyun Woo Kim Captures Interim Championship
Representing Team Finish, Kim faced Jeju Team The King’s Yang for the ROAD FC interim bantamweight title.
The championship contest reached the second round before Kim secured the finish with punches. The stoppage came at 2:25, giving Kim the knockout victory and the interim bantamweight championship.
Ye Jun Pyeon Finishes at the Bell
Ye Jun Pyeon recorded one of the night’s latest stoppages against Russia’s Sunatullo Azizov.
Pyeon finished the flyweight contest with ground-and-pound at 4:59 of Round 2, securing the TKO with only one second remaining in the round.
In lightweight action, Sang Kwon Han earned a unanimous-decision victory over Japanese veteran Juri Ohara after three rounds.
China’s Aerci Li defeated Jun Geon Jo by split decision in their flyweight contest, while Dong Guk Shin stopped Hyun Bin Park with punches followed by ground-and-pound at 4:49 of the opening round.
San Kim Earns Decision Victory
San Kim returned to the ROAD FC cage with a unanimous-decision victory over Jin Ho Son in the opening fight of Part 1.
Japan’s Daichi Mikami produced the first finish of the preliminary card, submitting Seung Bin Choi with a rear-naked choke at 4:33 of Round 1.
Dong Hyuk Ko followed with a first-round TKO against Uzbekistan’s Sardor, while Young Chan Choi defeated Min Su Park by unanimous decision.
First-Round Finishes Dominate Part 1
Min Guk Yoon stopped Dong Su Seo with ground-and-pound at 2:44 of the opening round.
Young Woo Kim defeated Min Su Kim by second-round TKO in their 63-kilogram catchweight contest. Min Su Kim had missed weight by 0.5 kilograms and entered the fight with a five-point deduction in the opening round.
Serina Wada delivered the fastest finish of the event. The Japanese atomweight stopped Min Ji Jung with punches and ground-and-pound just 45 seconds into the first round.
Seung Mu Cheon submitted Jun Seo Park with a guillotine choke at 1:57, while Dan Bi Kim stopped Eun Jung Lee with a knee strike at 1:24. Lee missed weight by 2.6 kilograms and received a 10-point deduction for each round.
Hae Wan Jung added another opening-round stoppage, finishing Jun Ho Lee with ground-and-pound at 1:46.
The card concluded with three consecutive decisions as Seong Jin Bae, Je Seon Lee and Kyung Min Song each secured unanimous victories.
