Zeus FC Bets on Personality as Tartarus Season 2 Auditions Open

The Korean promotion, Zeus FC, is looking for more than just talented fighters, promising media exposure, professional opportunities, and long-term athlete development through its revamped audition program.

Zeus FC has officially opened applications for Tartarus Season 2, the promotion’s professional MMA audition program that aims to identify and develop the next generation of Korean mixed martial arts talent.

More than simply recruiting fighters, however, the promotion is positioning the program as a platform for building recognizable personalities. Throughout the announcement, Zeus FC CEO Si Young Park emphasized that success in modern MMA requires more than winning fights—it also requires the ability to connect with fans.

“If you’re fun to watch, want to become a star, and dream of competing in professional MMA, anyone can apply,” Park said.

Unlike many traditional tryouts, Tartarus Season 2 welcomes applicants from a wide range of experience levels.

Eligible participants include:

  • Amateur MMA athletes
  • Fighters with no professional record
  • Active professional fighters
  • Anyone who believes they have the charisma and potential to become a star

While technical skill remains important, Park made it clear that personality and entertainment value are significant factors in the selection process.

A New Direction for Season 2

Park appeared in the announcement without his comedic “Kkeodeureok Park” character, explaining that he wanted to introduce the project as himself while outlining Zeus FC’s vision for the future of the promotion.

Season 2 has been redesigned with additional planning and production, with Korean MMA personality Sung Woong Kim (“Viper”) joining the project as a special planner and guest.

The promotion also revealed that content creator Appolon will play a larger role this season, allowing Zeus FC to produce more behind-the-scenes content and personality-focused programming throughout the competition.

More Than a Tournament

According to Zeus FC, graduates from the first Tartarus class and its developmental “Gundesliga” (군데스리가) program have already competed on the promotion’s professional events, with several eventually earning opportunities in Black Combat.

The promotion hopes to continue that pipeline while offering competitors more exposure than a traditional regional tournament.

For the Season 2 champion, the rewards will extend beyond simply earning a professional debut.

The winner is expected to receive:

  • Professional debut opportunities
  • Increased promotional support
  • Expanded media exposure
  • Appearances in Zeus FC content

Park added that even contestants who struggle to gain attention initially will receive additional support to help develop their careers.

“We’ll do everything we can to make you into a star,”

Park said, reiterating the promotion’s commitment to athlete development beyond fight results.

  • Audition Filming Date: August 30, 2026
  • How to Apply: Send a direct message (DM) to the official Zeus FC Instagram account (@zeusfc.official).

The promotion is also encouraging supporters to join the Zeus FC Membership, which offers early access to content previews and additional member benefits.

What It Means

As Korea’s regional MMA scene becomes increasingly competitive, promotions are searching for new ways to distinguish themselves. Zeus FC (ZFC)’s approach reflects a growing belief that building marketable athletes requires more than organizing fights—it requires storytelling, consistent content, and personality development.

Rather than focusing exclusively on wins and losses, Tartarus Season 2 appears designed to identify athletes who can succeed both inside the cage and in front of a camera. If successful, the program could further strengthen ZFC’s role as one of Korea’s most active talent development platforms while producing the next wave of recognizable names in Korean MMA.
