Following her UFC departure in 2023, Kim returned to South Korea and began operating First Fist MMA, a gym that has steadily grown into a recognizable training space for hobbyists and developing fighters. While Kim has not competed since May 2023, it seems she remains connected to the sport through her presence at the gym and her mentorship of students.
Kim’s personal Instagram account has been mostly inactive, with no recent training footage or competition updates. However, the Fire Fist MMA gym account continues to post regularly, confirming the gym’s ongoing activity. The most recent photo featuring Kim herself was shared in December 2025, showing her in the gym environment, while the gym’s latest post came in January 2026.
Although she has not announced retirement, Kim appears to be embracing a quieter, more grounded chapter one focused on teaching rather than fighting.
